Every Vermont town needs a welcome page to help new residents get oriented.

Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be complex or comprehensive — just enough to get folks started. And the necessary information is probably already on your website! It’s just a matter of helping new residents find what they need quickly.

Welcome to North Quaintville, a warm and friendly place to call home since 1793!

We want new residents to know that the town office is a great resource for local information. Please feel free to stop by to say hello and get acquainted. 

Here are some of the top things to know about North Quaintville:

Town services and departments

  • Get information about police and fire services, property taxes, marriage and dog licenses, zoning permits, and more.

Connectivity

  • Fidium Fiber and Comcast are the local internet providers. Check your address to see if you have service, as not all homes have access to both options. 
  • Cell networks that use AT&T or Verizon towers do best in North Quaintville and surrounding towns. 

Participating in local government

  • Information about upcoming selectboard and town committee meetings can be found here. We encourage any community member to attend. Time is reserved in each meeting for public comment. Agendas are posted in advance and also sent out via our town email list and Facebook page
  • Attend Town Meeting, the first Tuesday of March, at the town hall. Childcare and lunch are available. Learn more about Vermont’s town meeting tradition here.

Annual events

You don’t want to miss North Quaintville’s annual Leek Festival, the third Saturday of June. Follow the Leek Festival Facebook page for updates.

  • Quaintville Cares is an all-volunteer organization that offers rides, meal delivery, fuel assistance, and other support to our neighbors. Quaintville Cares can also help you find the services you need. Leave a message at 802-555-3888 and a volunteer will get back to you within 24 hours.
  • SEVCA – Financial assistance with food, fuel, weatherization, and housing
  • Senior Solutions – Services for older adults and caregivers
  • Early Education Services – Support for families with young children
  • Youth Services – Mentoring, restorative justice, and substance misuse prevention for teens

Outdoor amenities

  • The Pine Ridge Loop is a favorite local hiking trail. Parking for trail access is behind the general store or across the street from the fire station.
  • Riverside Park offers a playground and dog run area, as well as a short ADA accessible walking trail.
  • In the summer, find your way to the swimming hole on Granger Hill Road, just past the intersection with Thomas Farm Road. (Unguarded area; swim at your own risk.)
  • Cooper State Park has hiking trails and picnic areas. Passes are $6/day or may be checked out from the library for free with a library card.
